Morning coffee on the front porch overlooking
the mountains often affords a view of the wildlife in the area, including the many deer
that inhabit Roane County. Fishing is productive in the pond at Covenant Cove at the
base of Napping Hill. Twenty acres provide space for walking and communing with our
Lord.
You can spend time alone seeking God in our Prayer Cabin, reading, watching anointed
videos, or listening to uplifting worship music. Your warm inviting private room
with jacuzzi tub or body spa awaits you. Each morning a full breakfast is servied in
the main dining room. If you desire, we will pray with you, counsel, or just listen
to your concerns.
Parsons Rest is located just outside Rockwood, Tennessee in Roane County, one of
the most beautiful areas of East Tennessee. It is easily accessible from Interstate 40,
located approximately 40 miles west of Knoxville and just a short drive from the Great
Smoky Mountains National Park and Dollywood at Pigeon Forge. Scenic Watts Bar Lake
provides 783 miles of shoreline for fishing, boating, swimming, hiking and skiing. Area
marinas provide large and small boat rentals. The Museum of Appalachia is located just
north of Knoxville and provides an authentic touch of yesteryear. Antique shops are
scattered throughout the area and give the collector much to enjoy. Roane County boasts
several area parks with lush nature trails.
Parsons Rest at Napping Hill is a non-smoking facility. No pets permitted, No
accommodations for children.
